Being a Trustee
Charities are always looking for trustees but what does the role involve and what is the purpose of a trustee?
If you joined the board of trustees at PAC Therapy you would be joining an excellent and respected mental health and emotional well being organisation that provides an essential service to children and young people in Carlisle and the surrounding area.
It is essential that PAC therapists provide relevant and valued support to their clients but it is equally important that the trustees make sure the organisation is effectively managed, is governed to a high standard and meets the needs of its clients and referring agencies.
The board of trustees meet 6 to 8 times a year to monitor and discuss how well the organisation is performing and to deal with current issues. These are formal meetings with an agenda and where minutes of the meetings are recorded. Trustees are also responsible for the future strategic direction of the organisation. Trustees act as ambassadors for PAC and help promote the profile of the organisation locally.
We are looking for trustees from any background and who have an interest in mental health issues and who are prepared to voluntarily give of their time and are willing to share their skills and experiences to the benefit of PAC.
If this is the sort of role that interests you and you would like to meet for an informal chat please contact our chairperson, Paul, who is very happy to see you and talk through being a trustee in greater detail.
Paul can be contacted by phone, 01228 533874 or by email:- firstname.lastname@example.org
